My early roots were buried in fabrication shops - ranging from ornamental handrails and miscellaneous metals to tight tolerance machine shop welding for the semi-conductor industry and eventually structural and specialty steel fabrication.
After several years of this, I began to realize that the day-in, day-out, climate-controlled atmosphere of a shop was becoming too much like a cubicle for my wandering ways. I quickly fell in love with working in the field, walking around on the steel at several stories above ground. Every day presented a new challenge, new personalities, and new setting to discover - all while requiring a certain amount of grit to battle the volatile New England weather. As a result of this constant challenge and growth, the seed was planted for RMS Ironworks.
With a history of heavy equipment experience, a passion for structural steel work, and a growing interest in architectural metals, I found myself in a maelstrom by early 2014. Unable to decide which area to specialize in, I decided to pursue them all.
By mid-summer of '14, RMS Ironworks LLC was born.
